You can now have the opportunity to ride an Andalusian
or Lusitano horse.
Having imported, trained and produced her own Andalusian
and Lusitano horses of which 2 are UK Champions, Alex Gaché
has now opened her doors so that other people may have the
opportunity of sharing her passion for these magnificent horses.
Alex has turned her home based yard into a centre for classical
training, offering private lessons with herself and Debbie Moore
on these beautiful horses.
Debbie and Alex met in 2002 when Alex had returned from Spain
with three Andalusian stallions, and needed help with their training.
Debbie became actively involved with their training and has always
enjoyed working with Alex and her horses.

Alex has instructed the art of classical riding for
the past 25 years. She has a very calming influence
on riders whilst teaching them to ride with feeling
and softness. Debbie introduced her to the Alexander
Technique several years ago. Now she, too, incorporates
this within her teaching to improve balance in the rider.
Having worked with all types of horses, Alex became passionate
about the Iberian breed after riding a Lusitano stallion more
than 10 years ago. He gave her such a wonderful feel, being
light and responsive to the faintest of aids that she has never
wanted to go back to any other breed. This same Lusitano is at
her stud as the maestro and has allowed many people, including
very young children, to experience piaffe, passage, Spanish walk etc.

These horses are responsive, sensitive and incredibly comfortable
to ride. There are horses at all levels, from homebred youngsters
to advanced schoolmasters.
The training is taken seriously, but the experience is fun and
relaxed, allowing you to discover your riding potential through
body awareness. Beginners and advanced riders alike, these horses
will brighten up your day and bring a smile to your face.
The centre is also able to offer lessons in the Alexander Technique
with Vartoug Gulbenkian. Vartoug is a very experienced teacher and
has worked with Alex and Debbie for many years. She will be available
at the centre on mondays and wednesdays.
